April Yard of the Month

January 2021: Sidewalk Update

The county is moving forward with its sidewalk project for English Estates, with some new updates and changes. A flyer is being passed out by the county to residents. We have included it below.

From the county's website:
"Seminole County is designing then constructing sidewalks in the English Estates neighborhood. In response to input from the public during the initial design phase, the County is performing additional analysis and evaluation of the proposed sidewalks. The additional evaluation included collecting traffic counts, analyzing crash data, and prioritizing sidewalk connectivity."

January 2021:

The HOA received information about a new
plan to update the City of Casselberry
Potable Water System in our neighborhood.
We will be monitoring this project as it progresses.
The full email with what we know is below.

"Dear Residents:


The City of Casselberry has initiated a project to improve the potable water system for the residents of English Estates. This project is in the early design phase to create plans for replacing 21,000 linear feet of water main, installation of new service lines, fire hydrants, valves, and includes restoration of the areas of construction.

Design of this project is expected to be completed by the beginning of 2022. Construction is likely to occur in phases, with phase one beginning in early summer of 2022.

As part of the early design work, Survey and Geotechnical staff working with our project consultant will be working in the area over the next 4 to 6 weeks. Their work should not impact residents’ activities, and crews will not enter private property without permission.

Additional information about the project will be shared with the community in the coming months as plans are developed."


The first 100FT from a stop sign have a double yellow marking. This marking denotes an area that should be free from parking on the street. Parking in this area makes it difficult to see traffic coming/going on the cross street. Please keep these areas clear for the safety of our neighborhood.

Come join your HOA, and fellow neighbors at our Community events. We’ve had picnics at Kewannee Park, Block Parties, and Community Garage Sales.
