SEMINOLE COUNTY OXFORD ROAD SIDEWALK AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE, and City of Casselberry Utilities Water Main Replacement

The critical path appears to be running approximately one month behind schedule. There is additional coordination required because the contractor’s interface with the City of Casselberry’s Northgate Phase I project and concurrent construction locations. The contractor is planning to add a second crew within a week or two, with two separate construction locations.

Work on Oxford Rd will be proceeding north along the east side, under the existing sidewalk, placing the new water main, moving north toward the intersection of Hunterfield Rd. This will allow the existing underground utilities to adjust their existing facilities before construction of the new stormwater drainage. The contractor will be maintaining a traversable sidewalk of limestone and recycled asphalt until the new storm drainage and sidewalk can be constructed. Pedestrians can request assistance through the work zone during the period of activity. Dewatering equipment is required to keep the work area dry/accessible during the time. Pedestrians are requested to avoid the work area as much as possible.
The additional crew, when available, will be constructing the new water main on the south side of Derbyshire Rd. in both directions from Chipola Rd. As new water mains become available, new service will be scheduled.
